When I joined the Filmmaking MA course, the goal was to deepen the understanding of documentary filmmaking and grow as a director. What I received was everything I hoped for — and so much more.
I gained invaluable experience working in multinational teams, explored the intricacies of producing in the UK, collaborated with actors, had access to filming equipment and equipped video/sound recording studios, moreover — enjoyed the ongoing support of our tutors.
An unexpected bonus was discovering a passion for fiction films, which broadened the perspective on storytelling. The course allowed me to step into every production role, from directing to sound design and editing, and gave a comprehensive understanding of the entire filmmaking process.
This journey has not only enriched technical skills but also sparked new creative directions that I am excited to pursue in the future projects.

“It is important for a filmmaker to abandon the illusion that he can – or even worse, must – control everything in relation to his film. In reality, to make a film, you need a crew made up of human beings. And human beings cannot be controlled one hundred percent”
Pedro Almodóvar
