Drawing from the experiences of elderly family members, Qianchi recognised the slowness, monotony and inconveniences of their later life pace, leading to an awareness of elder neglect. However, later life also presents potential for self-betterment and fulfilment. Unspoken desires may only require an opportunity to be expressed, yet they are frequently overlooked, like puzzles waiting to be solved.

How can we address this underlying neglect and support our elders in having a more meaningful late life? This work responds to the overlooked, fulfilled and undiscovered wishes through a detailed observation of others’ later-life experiences.
