With this project my focus was on showcasing the strength in metal bending and the metal fabrication processes. Exploring the use of aluminium as a medium allowed me to delve into creating a robust structure. The incorporation of folds and flanges within the chairs design, that adds strength but also highlights the process of the structure.
The form as a four-part chair was a choice to add more depth to the design while still maintaining structural integrity. Using the construction through nets and connecting each section with bolts and brackets further enhances the chairs durability, strength and the longevity of the material chosen.
