My work is inspired by women in male dominated spaces , conveying the desire not to be moulded in these spaces but to challenge the idea of what a successful woman can look like . Using drape and drape experiments to form the base of the collection where the female silhouette is key . The collection takes from the culture of being a woman in the motoring world. It uses colours, textures and 3D experiments inspired by this and other personal research throughout boards and is intended to show a slight irony to women’s representation in this niche whilst creating a collection that works with women’s bodies.
I Am a Fashion BA Hons undergraduate and my final collections encompasses my love for drape and womenswear , combined with a background of painting and digital design I created my final collection ‘F1 Girlfriend’.
