The core research object of this project is the International Typographic Style (hereinafter referred to as ITS), which was born after the Second World War and has had a profound influence to this day. The aim of this project is to explore the relationship between the seemingly stylistically creative ‘Postmodernist’ styles represented by New York School and New Wave Typography and the classic ITS by adopting the method of visual analysis in order to verify and deduce the relationship between the design styles of those who tried to escape from the monotony and seriousness of the classic ITS and the classic ITS that still have inheritance and development.
