In response to the polarized situation caused by the echo chamber effect created by the media algorithms of social networking sites, the project envisions the Mind Reconstruction Center (MRC). MRC is a speculative design that aims to restore critical thinking and promote cross-group communication. It uses advanced technology to help people restore their ability to think independently and accept different opinions, thereby rebuilding a diverse and inclusive society. It represents a path to heal a divided world, reawaken individuals’ ability to think independently, and promote a more inclusive and more closely connected society.
The MRC will provide a space where people can rediscover independent thinking, engage with different perspectives, and contribute to the healing of a polarized society. The proposal envisions a future where architecture and technology work hand in hand to promote social cohesion and mental health.
