This project explores a new way of personal expression through a diary, using both a website and graffiti spray paint as mediums. Over a week, I used graffiti markers to express myself privately in public spaces, documenting how I refined this expression in a public context and then brought it back to a personal level. It challenges the boundaries between personal and public space while reflecting on the collision between the two. Additionally, it explores the “legitimization” of graffiti, traditionally seen as underground and illegal, in different contexts.
This is a project that explores graffiti as a new form of diary for personal expression, illustrating the process of graffiti as a new form of diary in a multi-dimensional way through physical outputs, film documentation, and a website.
