My project explores the meeting point of British and South Asian culture in the UK.

I feel like a bit of an imposter in my culture, not being that religious and not speaking any punjabi, so I wanted to explore it in this project. I wanted the project to celebrate the crossover of the two cultures in a light hearted way rather than have a deep emotional tone.

For the final outcome of the project I produced a small series of archetypal british objects using South Asian materials, processes and values. The series included an Kulhar (single-use earthenware teacup) pint glass, a banana leaf chip box, a sandalwood chip fork and a Kurta (long shirt) printed with the graphics of an English football jersey.

I went to the pub and recycled a glass and then I ate a samosa and also some chips and then I went home.
