Abigail Barrett is an illustrator based in London whose work focuses on nature, place and landscapes based on her trips to parks, gardens and sites of cultural heritage. Her work includes bookmaking, printmaking, drawing and painting.

 

A recent project she worked on Viewfinder based on her trips to Richmond Park working from her photographs and observations. It includes two chapters The woodlands on a cold crisp day based on Isabella Plantation focusing on the environment and chapter 2 When the sun came out on a winters day based on Pembroke Lodges focusing people in the park. Throughout the book there are cutouts to reveal a part of the image on the next page like a viewfinder.
