My project is titled The Myriad of Sunbeams – within this I explored the relationship humans hold with nature.
I have created a publication which aims to communicate the disparity in what we take from nature versus what we give to nature. Featured are specific location examples of where human’s actions have impacted the environment positively or negatively – each example is aimed towards the audience which commits this behaviour, i.e. the example of farming for oil in Alberta is targeted at the people within companies facilitating this action. My intention is to illustrate the degrading of nature occurring over time due to human behaviour, while simultaneously highlighting the inadequate amount of positive change occurring currently.
The publication is not bound as it is designed to be deconstructed and reconstructed in a multitude of ways, providing the audience with an ability to view all images at once, comparing each frame in time.
