One of the main problems casual bicycle users face is where to store their goods and handheld devices when going for a bicycle ride. To combat this issue, riders tend to go with saddle bags which would attach to their bicycle or saddle frame. However, these two products have never been incorporated into one.
‘Slung’ enables cyclists to carry around objects which otherwise would have been a burden on the rider. Combining the traditional seat shape which flows into a large strap to the rear of the saddle, ‘Slung’ is molded from a single sheet of leather and over time and use, will become the most comfortable saddle the rider will ever use.
On the rear of the saddle is the strap. It attaches by two buckles on either side and can carry an array of different sized objects from tool kits and repairs to umbrellas and jackets. The leather is attached to a frame set from Brooks England which can be tightened to keep the tension running through the saddle. And so when the leather starts to sag and loosen this can be tightened to regain the strength.
Using a combination of buckles and straps, ‘Carry’ allows its riders to attach their goods and necessities to the rear of the saddle, utilising what would be dead space.
