Hello, my name is Christel. This year I have explored children’s book illustration. With these projects, I wanted to explore character design, landscape painting and world-building. The overarching theme of my work is animal characters and landscapes. My book, Where is Home? is about Ginger the Fox, who is moving from one place to another. This was an authorial project where I wanted to explore the mindset of moving away from home. This is an emotional subject that I wanted to portray in an uplifting way. My creative practice includes both animation and illustration which you can further explore on my website.
