My piece is entitled ‘Through Which We Share Stories’ and depicts a large scale textile installation of a teapot, pouring tea into the space in which its suspended. Theatrical and playful in nature, it invites the audience to reflect upon the routine activity of sharing a cup of tea and recall any memories created or stories told through these exchanges. Throughout my  Final Major Project, I’ve explored the idea of human connection, especially looking at the significance of objects in acting as a tool to enhance connections between people. I’ve found that the humble cup of tea perfectly encapsulate this, as an environment where a cup of tea is shared, is an environment that welcomes comfort and encourages honest, intimate conversation.
