What happens when new technology becomes old?

Chromat utilises the diffraction grating of a laserdisc, a pre-existing object, to create mesmerising concentric circles of light.  By repurposing the diffraction grating, Chromat showcases the intricate patterns and optical effects that occur when light passes through this medium.  The stunning display of vibrant, vivid color, changes form based on the perspective you view it.  This enables individuals to actively participate in shaping their visual experience, blurring the line between viewer and artwork.  It features a unique dimmer that allows you to adjust the intensity, and color of the light to suit your mood and preferences.

Chromat is made out of lightweight aluminum and comes in an easy to assemble kit which therefore makes it easy to disassemble for moving or recycling.
