The project is referred to terms the “gesture of making” in Gestures by Vilém Flusser. The project was initiated to question how the hand is devoted to perceiving the world. The hand is the main tool attached to the body with tangibility. The installation series explores the progress in the gesture of making: Reach out – Grasp – Tear apart – Press.
The shapes are created by tracing only the surface of the words. The project explores the essence of matters disguised by the appearance through tangibility. The scale balances the dialectical words. What’s in the middle of the scale? What makes the balance of the words?
