Named after my horse, Templebready After-Shock, my collection is an exploration of the intangible bond between horse and human including the trust and companionship shared, the power and self confidence it inspires.
Drawing upon fashion influences from vintage western cowgirls and their use of lassos to control their horses, I have engineered a rope textile made from a range of materials which I have incorporated into my collection. The silhouettes of my garments are inspired by the fluid forms that can be achieved with rope together with the flexibility of a horse’s body, in particular the arc of the neck.
