Olivia Warren is a fashion design graduate specialising in womenswear, with a particular interest in creative pattern-cutting, print and textiles. Focusing on fashion for performance, her designs are experimental yet considered, incorporating bold colours, dynamic patterns and luxe fabrications that enhance a sense of movement, fluidity and theatricality.

My background in ballet acts as a constant source of inspiration for my designs and world-building. I design garments that interact with the body through innovative design techniques such as subtraction cutting and a deep understanding of movement. Artists such as Sonia Delaunay and Oscar Schlemmer, from the Bauhaus movement, act as a source of inspiration for my collection in how they intersected shape, colour and movement into fashion and the performing arts. Print is a dominant feature within my work, through silk screen printing I was able to produce an organic quality which complements my design vision as well as furthering the idea of wearable art.

Geometry in Motion – SS23 by Olivia Warren
This collection enters the world of performance wear, to be worn in a performative space and body. Each look is an interpretation of movement and how it can be achieved in different ways through pattern cutting, structural elements and print.
