In my work I have designed a garment that explores the subversion of power through personal experiences. Through research into my own family history I was able to dive into how the experience of moving out and being in and out of social care at the age of 15 had me at a complete loss of power, the aim of my final piece is to subvert some of that power so that I can go back and give myself that power back, by referencing where I culturally come from and using humor to change the experiences output on me, and spread some light to the average person the issues that are ignored in the system.
