My animation is titled ‘BOO!’ and is meant to creep you out. This project is all about monsters and how children use them to explain their fears. In this animation I used stencils to cast shadows of objects, faces and phrases. The language came from my research based on where children think their monsters hide and why they make them up. The different objects and faces show what shadows can look like in the corner of the eye, and could cause the fear of the dark. It is all about what I think the purpose of a monster is.
The invention of monsters can be explained by children when they try to explain what they are afraid of.
