This project uses elements of traditional Chinese culture (Peking Opera faces and traditional Chinese  pattern) to communicate the theme of endangered and protected animals.

During the production process, I wanted to portray the endangered animals as a “character” so that the audience can feel that it has a personality and a soul. That’s why I came up with the Peking Opera face painting element to assist the actors in fulfilling their roles. In the course of the project, I used traditional Chinese patterns to represent the living environment and habits of the endangered animals, so that the audience can have a basic understanding of them.
