So Be It is a project about my grandparents’ religious experiences as Christians in China. The work gathers existing archival material and voices from individuals and combines them to produce new and different narratives. It is personal as well as political and historical. It is also a glimpse into the unique development of Christianity in China and what it looks like today from a personal perspective.

The presentation of the work combines real images from the archive, audio from interviews and illustrations, piecing together a ‘complete’ narrative from different dimensions.
