Back in my teenage years, I had a hard time accepting the way I look. The experience sparked the idea for this picture book, which is about learning to embrace your uniqueness. All the illustrations were hand-painted and later digitally edited. I used limited color palette to emphasize the red parts, and created textures that soften the atmosphere.
