The name S/D comes from Roland Barthes’ book The Lovers Discourse. My comics are also composed of some discourses, so the full title of my book is Sanmuxing’s Discourse. Combined with the name of another Roland Barthes book on semiotics, Z/D. I eventually named my comic S/D. As you see, this is a comic zine made up of many short comics that record my thoughts about things, objects, emotions, etc. The original intention of this comic is to make readers rethink our lives from different aspects, so as to find more fun in life.
