Leftover children in China may be unique to a particular group. Parents leave their hometown to work in more modern metropolises in order to improve their living conditions. They left their children to be raised by old people in their hometown. Due to the absence of parents for a long time, these children grow up without a lot of love and education. Psychological problems, illness, crime, these vicious events are growing in this group.

When a society pursues excessive industrialization, efficiency and the primacy of money become a mainstream value. Human reverence for nature and emotional attention to life have also become lagging behind. Leftover children problem faced by the fundamental, actually still on the issue of education and values.

In order to better show the real problems deeply, and at the same time to take into account the entertainment of reading, the science fiction theme is used to describe. Using pure hand drawing and monochrome to create a science fiction graphic novel can also reflect a sense of contrast.

On the planet where the story takes place, there is a “Skylar Tower”, which goes beyond the basic needs of human life and lights up the technology, industry and military of the planet. The people who work for the tower are the “elite” of the society, and the elites are using the processed “blocks” to build the tower higher every day to compete with other planets. The father of the protagonist is one of the “elites”. As a leftover child, the protagonist decided to go to the Skylar Tower alone to find his father. During the journey, he saw the alienation of human beings from technology and the control of nature.
